The Interstate 8 released its all-conference teams on Thursday for six spring sports.

Sports shorts for Thursday, June 19, including Princeton Youth Football registration and equipment pickup, Walnut 3-on-3 Basketball, the Walnut 5K Run/Walk for ALS on July 5 and the Tiger Classic golf tournament on Aug. 16.

The Reinhardt era has come to a close at Princeton High School with the graduation of Jordan Reinhardt this spring. There’s been a Reinhardt boy playing sports at PHS since 2013, including Jake (2016), Josh and Jamie (2021).

Logan Philhower had a record-breaking junior season on the mound for Bureau Valley, setting school records for 103 strikeouts (103), ERA (1.58) and wins (8). He became the first Storm player to be named IHSBCA First Team All-State.

Rosary junior Katie Kostro, who jumped a personal-best 1.70 meters to take home the Class 2A high jump state title, is the Kane County Chronicle 2024-25 Girls track and field Athlete of the Year
